The NYAC Athlete's Fund Golf Tournament offers the opportunity to play on one of the USA's most celebrated courses while supporting more than 40 worthy causes, plus the New York Athletic Club's aspiring Olympic athletes.
The 2019 Golf Tournament will take place on Monday, August 26th at the renowned Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, NY. Winged Foot G.C. is a 36-hole golf facility, consisting of the celebrated West Course (site of five US Opens, two US Amateurs, and the PGA Championship, among many others), and the East Course (two US Women’s Opens and the US Senior Open). Winged Foot has also played host to numerous noted amateur competitions on both courses. Additionally, the West course will be home to the US Open in 2020. This was an opportunity for golf enthusiasts to play the course that has been visited by some of the legends of the sport - Ben Hogan, Hale Irwin, Davis Love, Phil Mickelson, and many more. It is no exaggeration to say that the golfers who played this renowned course enjoyed the outing of a lifetime. Best of all, they also supported some truly worthy causes.
Among the organizations that have benefited from funds raised at the Tournament are the Ronald McDonald House of New York, the Special Olympics, the Achilles Track Club and the Police Athletic League. All of these, and many more, have been beneficiaries of funds that have been raised through the Golf Tournament. In addition, proceeds go to support the NYAC's elite sportsmen and women in their efforts to fulfill their dreams at the Olympic Games. By taking part in the tournament, you can do your part to support these causes - all while enjoying a day of golf that you will never forget.
