Founded in 1996, the Lightning Bolts are composed of successful singles, typically over the age of 40, who enjoy a life of style and spirit. A diverse calendar includes: cross-country skiing at Mohonk Mountain House, a night at the Opera, Yankees' baseball games, Twilight Tennis at Travers Island, April's “Rainbow Party”, and Holiday Parties with cocktails and dancing. The Lightning Bolts also host a series of formal dinners including the sumptuous Progressive Dinner and the Pasta Primavera Dinner/Dance.
