Support the Athlete's Fund
Donate appreciated securities to the NYAC Athlete’s Fund: Gifts of appreciated securities may confer significant tax benefits for the donor. For example, contributions of securities held for over a year are generally deductible at market value, regardless of what the donor paid for the securities. In addition, the donor avoids paying any capital gains tax. The donor should check with his or her tax advisor with respect to the tax benefits associated with a specific charitable contribution.
Leave a Legacy to the NYAC Athlete’s Fund: Including The Athlete’s Fund as a beneficiary in your will for a specific sum or a portion of your estate is a wonderful way to assist with the furtherance of it’s charitable mission. The federal estate tax, which disappeared in 2010, sprang back to life in 2011. An estate may benefit from a deduction for charitable contributions. Please discuss this, and all tax matters, with your tax adviser.
