Personal: Tournament MVP at the 2007 World Championships. Scored 13 goals, including the gold medal winner, versus Australia. Played professionally in Greece in 2006/07. Sister Jana played water polo for USC (and dates Lou Ferrigno, Jr.).

TONY AZEVEDO - Attacker

Personal: Selected for the 2000 Olympic team at age 18. Father, Ricardo, was a member of Brazil’s national water polo team. Moved the family to Long Beach, CA in 1982. Sister, Cassie, plays professionally in Italy. Four family members have competed for Brazil in the Olympics: aunts Piedade (volleyball, 1932), Maria (volleyball, 1936) and Lucy (basketball, 1952), and uncle Carlos (swimming, 1972). In 2003, Men’s Journal ranked Tony seventh among the 20 best athletes in the world.

Merrill Moses - Goalkeeper
Age: 30. DOB: August 13th, 1977, Harbor City, CA.
Residence: Rancho Palos Verdes, CA.
Height: 6’ 3”. Weight: 215 lbs

Personal: Started playing water polo after his high school merged with two others and it became more difficult to make the football team. Played professionally in Spain, 2000- 2001.







JESSE SMITH - Defender
