Catha Mullen

Catha Mullen, 24, is a New York native, having grown up in Bronxville along with twin sister Caroline. She ran her first NYRR race when she was just 16, finishing 2nd with her sister and NYAC teammate Michelle Rorke in the NYC Marathon High School Race. The three of them went on to set the national high school record in the 4xmile.

Catha continued her running career at Princeton, where she was a team captain. She was the 3000 meter champion at the 2007 Heptagonal outdoor championships before continuing on to the NCAA DI championships, where she ran 16:04.75 for 5,000 meters, good for 10th place overall and the standing school record at Princeton. Catha left Princeton as a two-time all-American, one honor in the 5,000 meters outdoor and the other in the distance medley relay indoors.

After graduating, Catha made the move to New York City to work full time for UBS Investment Bank. Once in New York, she made an immediate impact on the local scene, winning the NYRR road mile championships, a section on the 5th Avenue Mile, running a time of 4:41. Catha is now working full time in the real estate investment management division of The Rockefeller Group. She will be attending Stanford Business School in the fall.
