Fencing




The NYAC has a long and proud history of producing Olympians World Team Members and National Champions.  Since our beginning our fencing program has seen World Champions, Olympic Medalists, National Champions, NCAA champions, Pan American Champions, Maccibia Champions, Junior World Champions and Junior Olympic champions,  In the last five Olympic cycles years The NYAC fencing team had five Olympians in 1996; Two Olympians in 2000, Three Olympians in 2004 two Olympians in 2008 and six Olympians in 2012.  NYAC members Kelley Hurley, Courtney Hurley and Maya Lawrence won the bronze medal at the 2012 Olympics in women's epee.
 
The Fencing team practices each week, Monday through Friday from 6pm to 9pm, Saturdays from 12pm to 4pm and on Sundays from 10am to 3pm. Tuesday night is a college fencing night!
