These five NYAC water polo members played for Team USA, who lost in the semi-finals to Croatia, 8-6. 
Jesse Smith was named outstanding defensive player of the tournament and John Mann was named to the all tournament team.


Gwen Jorgensen Wins Gold Around the World
The NYAC's triathlete, Gwen Jorgensen, is currently No. 1 in the world and already made history this year. Gwen seized the gold in the 2014 ITU World Triathlons in Hamburg, Chicago, London, Yokohoma and Mooloolaba, and also a bronze in Cape Town. She is the first athlete ever to win four consecutive World Triathlon Series races. Gwen looks to compete in the ITU Triathlon in Edmonton on September 1st, which is the last ITU Triathlon of the season.
